Best agentic local GEO tools with city-level tracking (2026)

Eight local GEO tools ranked by how much they do after they measure a city: drafting pages, fixing listings, routing citations or just reporting. Sourced pricing and the limits of each agent.

Local AI visibility tools have split into two camps. One camp measures: it tells you that ChatGPT recommends a competitor in Sacramento and leaves you to figure out the rest. The other camp acts: it drafts the missing page, fixes the wrong hours, or pushes a citation gap into a listings workflow.

This site ranks tools by how much of the monitor, optimize and publish loop they close. For local GEO we asked four questions. Can it track AI answers by city or location? When a location is weak, does it diagnose the cause? Does an agent do something about it? And does a human approve before anything goes live?

1. Promptwatch

Promptwatch closes the most of the loop, and it's the only tool here that does it for cities you choose rather than addresses you own.

Monitor: each monitor carries a country, optional state, optional city, language and persona, and its prompts run daily on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Copilot, AI Overviews, AI Mode and more. City and state targeting are included from Business ($579/mo) and on every agency plan from Kick-off ($199/mo).

Diagnose: citation analytics show which pages, domains, Reddit threads and YouTube videos the city answer drew on. Agent Analytics logs AI crawler hits on each location page with a crawl-to-citation path and errors. Visitor analytics ties AI-referred visits to conversions.

Act: on Business, the automated Content Agent plans, writes and publishes GEO content from content gaps, tracked prompts and competitor data, with 10 AEO articles a month. Drafts land in a review inbox before going live on WordPress (official plugin), Webflow or Framer. Agent Chat answers questions over the live data, and Unified Actions turns everything into a single to-do list. The MCP server and REST API are on every paid plan, so your own agent can create city monitors and pull results.

The limit: agency plans don't include the automated Content Agent or AEO articles. Agencies get Agent Chat, content gap analysis and site audits, and write the pages themselves.

2. Birdeye Search AI

Birdeye Search AI has the most aggressive agent setup among the listings suites. Its AI Search Optimization Agent ranks fixes by impact and hands them to Listings, Blog and FAQ agents. The Accuracy report traces wrong hours or addresses to their source, and listings Birdeye manages are corrected automatically. Seven engines are covered per location. The catch is buying: no published price, prompts metered by location times engine times query, and a monthly default scan.

3. Uberall GEO Studio

Uberall GEO Studio was built with AthenaHQ. Its Action Center creates content that goes through an approval step and publishes to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix or Framer. It tracks share of voice, citations and brand traits by persona, location and competitor, and flags factual errors. Location-level tracking and daily runs start on GEO Scale at $449/mo. Our entry for it doesn't document AI crawler logs.

4. Yext Scout

Yext Scout benchmarks each location against up to 20 local competitors and routes recommendations into Yext's Listings, Reviews, Pages and Social agents. For a brand already running its locations on Yext, that execution path is real. There's no public price, and engine coverage is around four, with Yext's own pages disagreeing on which.

5. Synup AEO

Synup AEO sits inside a local suite driven by the Sydekick agent, which also works on listings, reviews, social and landing pages. The AEO report itself is monthly, from 16 prompts Synup writes per location, on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Solo is $49/mo per location. An API and a native MCP server are listed. Credits are shared, so AEO reports draw from the same pool as review replies and social posts.

6. Local Falcon

Local Falcon measures at the finest grain here: a grid of AI samples around an address, up to 441 points. Its Falcon AI analysis writes prioritised recommendations for 25 credits a report, and an MCP server, Claude Connector, ChatGPT plugin, Zapier and n8n let you wire scans into your own automation. The tool itself doesn't publish or fix anything. From $24.99/mo in credits.

7. BrightLocal Local AI Visibility

BrightLocal Local AI Visibility has one useful action: a citation gap can go straight into Citation Builder, BrightLocal's pay-as-you-go listings service. It also produces prioritised action items. It's included on Track, Manage and Grow plans from $41/mo per location, with 20 prompts and three engines.

8. Reputation AI Location Presence Insights

Reputation AI Location Presence Insights is a diagnostic. Its Fix Inaccurate Citations view compares your Reputation profile with what each engine shows and links to the source site, but the fix happens on that site, not in the tool. Free for Business Listings customers. Monthly refresh, three engines.

Which to pick

If your locations live in Birdeye, Yext or Uberall already, their agents can act on the listings they control, and that's worth having.

But a listings agent can only fix what's in the listing. When ChatGPT picks a competitor in Sacramento because it cites a local guide you're missing and your Sacramento page returns errors to its crawler, the fix is on your website. Promptwatch is the one tool here that sees that chain, from city answer to crawler log to conversion, and can draft the page that closes it. Start on Business at promptwatch.com if you want the Content Agent, or an agency plan if you'll do the writing yourself.
