Promptwatch vs Search Atlas vs Alli AI vs WP SEO AI (2026)

On-page automation or GEO publishing? Promptwatch, Search Atlas, Alli AI, and WP SEO AI compared across the monitor, diagnose, act, verify loop.

This comparison is for a specific buyer. You run a site, often on WordPress, and you want software that changes things instead of sending you another report. Two kinds of tools answer that request. On-page automation tools rewrite titles, schema, internal links, and rendering across hundreds of existing pages. GEO publishing tools find the questions AI engines answer without you and publish new pages to fill those gaps. Search Atlas, Alli AI, and WP SEO AI mostly sit in the first group or straddle both. Promptwatch sits in the second, with the measurement layer around it.

Both kinds of work matter. A page that GPTBot cannot render will never be cited, however good the copy. A perfectly rendered site that never answers the prompts buyers type will not be cited either. The way to choose is to ask which step of the loop is breaking for you. Monitor: do you appear in AI answers? Diagnose: why not, and can crawlers read you? Act: fix or publish. Verify: did the change produce crawls, citations, and visits?

Everything about Search Atlas, Alli AI, and WP SEO AI below comes from their entries in our directory. Gaps are marked "Not published."

Promptwatch

Promptwatch treats action as the last step of a measurement loop, not a standalone feature. Prompt tracking runs across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot, Google AI Overviews, and AI Mode, refreshed daily on paid brand plans, with search volumes, difficulty scores, query fan-outs, and personas attached to prompts. Country tracking is on every plan, and state and city tracking start on Professional.

For diagnosis, citation analytics show the pages and domains each engine cites, including Reddit and YouTube. Agent Analytics streams AI crawler logs from your CDN (Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN, or custom HTTP) and maps the crawl-to-citation path with error tracking. That is the view that tells you whether a rendering problem is real before you pay to fix it. Crawler logs start on Professional ($245 a month, 25M logs); Essential does not include them.

The acting layer is Content Agents. They plan from a content gap analysis, write GEO articles, and publish to WordPress, Webflow, or Framer after a review inbox. For the WordPress shops reading this, publishing runs through an official Promptwatch plugin connected with a sync token, so you do not need a custom integration. Framer works differently: going live redeploys the whole Framer site. Article allowances are 5 AEO articles on Essential, 15 on Professional, and 30 on Business.

Verification comes from visitor analytics, which tie AI-referred sessions to conversions through a lightweight script or GTM template, plus prompt and citation trends over time.

Pricing: Explore is free with 10 prompts on ChatGPT. Essential costs $95 a month with a 7-day trial, Professional $245, Business $579. Agency plans start at Kick-off, $199 a month with a 7-day trial and unlimited projects and prompts.

Search Atlas

Search Atlas is an SEO suite first. The directory lists the OTTO SEO agent, AI article credits, rank tracking, site audits, Google Business Profile tools, and outreach. AI search lives in a separate LLM Visibility module that reports mentions, sentiment, share of voice, and position inside answers.

The gating matters. Starter at $99 a month does not include LLM Visibility at all. Growth at $199 adds it for ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Mode, with two LLM projects and 3,500 credits. Pro at $399 adds Copilot and Perplexity, four projects, and 20,000 credits. Agency at $999 unlocks unlimited LLM projects, 50,000 credits, and white-label. One credit is one query on one platform for one refresh, so the credit pool is the real limit on how much you can track. There is a 7-day trial and a 30-minute onboarding call.

On the loop, Search Atlas acts well on classic SEO through OTTO and monitors AI answers from Growth up. Its entry describes no crawler-log product and no AI-referral analytics, so the verify step for AI search is missing.

Alli AI

Alli AI solves the rendering half of the problem. It pre-renders pages for more than 50 AI crawlers and agents, so a JavaScript-heavy site stops looking empty to GPTBot. It also pushes bulk title, schema, internal-link, and speed changes without an engineering ticket. Integrations are a WordPress plugin plus Shopify, Wix, and Squarespace, and the entry lists keyword tracking, a visual SEO editor, SEO A/B testing, an AI Search Visibility Engine, and a live AI-bot traffic monitor.

Business costs $299 a month, or $2,990 a year ($249 a month equivalent), for 5 sites, 5 seats, 500 keywords, and 1,250 pages, with a 10-day trial. Agency is $5,990 a year ($499 a month equivalent) for 15 sites, 15 seats, 2,000 keywords, 5,000 pages, and API access. Enterprise is custom. Those page caps run out on large sites.

Alli AI does not replace a multi-engine prompt tracker, and its entry documents no visitor analytics for AI-referred conversions. Handing a vendor write access to production pages also needs a QA process on your side.

WP SEO AI

WP SEO AI is a managed program rather than a tool you operate. It runs SEO, GEO, and Google Ads agents inside its own WordPress plugin, and every customer gets a dedicated success manager who directs the work. The entry lists AI visibility tracking across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, AI Overviews, and AI Mode, with prompts generated from keywords, location, and language. It also lists simulated answers with the brand mention highlighted, AI Bot Tracking by crawler and bot type, query fan-out analysis, a topical map generator, an AI writer that publishes to WordPress, content pruning and mass edits, and GA4 conversion tracking that includes an AI assistants channel.

That covers more of the loop than most tools in its category. The trade-offs are commercial. Pricing is a custom quote after a questionnaire and a call, with a 12-month minimum billed yearly, a separate start-up fee, one package per domain, and no free trial. It supports Gutenberg, Classic Editor, Elementor, Divi, and Beaver Builder, but not Shopify, Webflow, or custom-built sites. The pages we read publish no prompt allowance or check frequency.

Who should pick which

If you already pay for Search Atlas and run OTTO, the LLM Visibility module on Growth or Pro is a convenient add-on. Buying the suite only to track AI answers means paying for a lot you will not use.

If your crawler logs show AI bots hitting JavaScript shells, Alli AI is the targeted fix. It changes what crawlers can read. It will not tell you what ChatGPT says about you.

If you are a WordPress business that wants someone else to run SEO, GEO, and ads for a year, WP SEO AI's managed model makes sense, provided you accept the annual contract and the WordPress-only scope.

If you want to see the data yourself, test before committing, and publish new pages on top of whatever on-page work you do, start with Promptwatch.

Our recommendation

On-page automation and GEO publishing are not rivals. The mistake is buying a fix before you know which part of the loop is broken. Promptwatch is the one to trial first because it answers that question and then acts on it. Agent Analytics crawler logs show whether AI bots reach and render your pages, which tells you whether you need an Alli AI-style fix at all. Citation analytics show which pages and third-party sources the engines cite instead of you. Content Agents turn the content gap analysis into drafts that pass through a review inbox and publish through the official WordPress plugin. Visitor analytics with conversions then show whether the new pages earned AI-referred traffic that paid off. Begin on Essential's 7-day trial and move to Professional once you want the crawler logs, at Promptwatch.
