Ubersuggest AI Search Visibility vs Promptwatch: A $29 Check-In or a Working Loop?
Ubersuggest adds ChatGPT and Gemini tracking to a low-cost SEO suite. Promptwatch publishes content and verifies with crawler logs. Which one does the work?
Ubersuggest AI Search Visibility is the cheapest way on this site to see AI answers next to your keyword rankings. It is a module inside Neil Patel's SEO suite, backed by his agency NP Digital, and it starts at $29 a month. Promptwatch is a dedicated AI search platform with agents that write, publish and then check their own work. These are different purchases. The useful question is when the cheap one stops being enough.
Ubersuggest facts come from its pricing page, its pricing.md file, the AI Search Visibility page and the homepage FAQ, read on 14 October 2026 in USD (the vendor localizes prices by region).

What Ubersuggest gets right
The plan table is plain. It says how many prompts you get and how often they refresh, which several enterprise vendors in this category won't tell you without a call. For each tracked engine you see a visibility score, share of voice against the competitors you track, the full answer text and sentiment. AI Prompt Ideas suggests 25, 50 or 75 prompts per search depending on plan, and five extra prompts cost $5 a month.
The bigger draw is the bundle. Keyword research, site audits, rank tracking and backlinks come in the same subscription, and AI results sit in the same project as your classic rankings. A solo marketer already paying for Ubersuggest gets AI tracking without buying another tool. Each monthly plan has a 7-day free trial, though the homepage says a credit card is required to start.
Where it stops
Ubersuggest reports. Nothing on its pages describes an agent that drafts content to close a gap, publishes it, or measures the result. It also publishes no citation-source analytics, crawler logs or AI-referred traffic data.
Coverage is narrow. The homepage FAQ says Perplexity, Claude, Grok and Copilot are not tracked today. (A glossary in the vendor's pricing.md still lists Claude and Perplexity, which contradicts the FAQ. We went with the FAQ because it is the more explicit statement.) The $29 plan refreshes 10 prompts once a month, so a drop could sit unnoticed for weeks. Lifetime plans at $290, $490 or $990 switch AI prompts to on-demand only, and the purchase is non-refundable. Credits are also shared with the rest of the suite, so AI refreshes compete with keyword data.
What Promptwatch adds
Promptwatch tracks more engines and gives each prompt a search volume, a difficulty score and its query fan-outs, so you pick prompts worth fighting for instead of guessing. Citation analytics shows which pages, domains, Reddit threads and YouTube videos the engines cite.
Then the agents get to work. Content gap analysis picks the prompts you lose, Content Agents write the page and park it in a review inbox, and approved pages publish to Webflow, Framer, or WordPress. Essential includes 5 AEO articles, Professional 15.
Verification closes it out. Agent Analytics logs AI crawler visits, the crawl-to-citation path and bot errors from Professional ($245 a month) upward, and visitor analytics connects AI-referred visits to conversions on every paid brand plan.
Who should pick which
Pick Ubersuggest if you are a small business already using it for SEO and you only want a rough sense of whether ChatGPT and Gemini mention you. At $29 a month with a full SEO toolkit attached, that is a fair price for a glance.
Pick Promptwatch if AI search is a channel you are trying to grow. The free Explore plan tracks as many prompts as Ubersuggest Individual (10, on ChatGPT), so you can compare the two before paying anything. Once you need more engines, published fixes, or proof that a fix worked, Promptwatch's paid plans cover it and Ubersuggest's do not.
Verdict
Ubersuggest is a decent SEO suite with an AI tab. Promptwatch is the agentic choice: it finds the gap, publishes the fix after approval, and checks crawler logs and conversions afterwards. If you want AI visibility to move rather than just be recorded, start with Promptwatch.
